Cheryl Beswick graduated Salford University in 2006, with BA Hons in Visual Arts. This exhibition is an opportunity to reflect on the decades since embracing that glorious three years in the early 00s that eventually led to moving into Ebor in its early days of developing into the creative hub we have today. 

I always had a passion for crafting, enjoying the process it allowed me to clear my mind. I ran regular Crafternoons to share ideas and teach others. I created workshops, delivering in sheltered schemes and schools. I also accessed other artist run workshops and events, developing my skills. Sewing and crafts with @sonortherncas and @andreaheartlybanks. Sisters in Stitch and plenty of knit and natters. 

I developed an interest in holistic therapies. Studied Reiki healing, yoga and travelled to India. Nature and life cycles inspired my chakra series. Using embroidery onto paper the symbols of each chakra is paired with crystals.
