Captured Moments
Captured Moments is a collection of experimental photographic prints made over two years exploring a process created by Maryanne in collaboration with fellow photographer Bob France.

Performing actions of layering, processing, enlargement and flattening on to photographic and audio medium, these works demonstrate the practical workings of the digital and analogue technologies used to make them.

With each transfer from digital to analogue or back, the information deteriorates as the building blocks that make up the digital file are enlarged and amplified by the analogue process.

Pop-up Darkroom

Maryanne has been developing her pop-up darkroom over the past three years. Originally due to kick off in 2020, the project was put on hold because of the pandemic and restrictions not allowing close quarters with strangers in a tent.

It has been a journey of trials, errors and satisfying problem solving. You can take a look at the full story on Maryanne’s blog

Over September, Maryanne had her darkroom set up at Ebor Studio where she ran workshops in photograms and digital to analogue printing as well as completing personal projects.

She has displayed these as well as some of the fantastic prints made by participants as part of Captured Moments.
